This weekend our team hosted its annual Speech and Debate Tournament, virtually, of course. We had over 600 HS and MS students from 50 schools in 3 states compete in 21 events on Friday and Saturday. There were another 200+ adults who attended to judge, organize, and tabulate.
Our team had a particularly good day, with Caden Coleman winning Declamation and Grace Eichler finishing in second place in Congressional Debate. Other noteworthy finishes were by Ivan Zamyatin who finished in 7th in Declamation, the debate team of Manav Malik and Zeyad Mansour who finished 8th in Public Forum Debate, and Dylan Armao finished tenth in US Extemporaneous Speech. Our team finished in 15th Place out of 41 high schools.
