AWT Foundation-Summer Manufacturing Institute 2023
Registration for the Summer Manufacturing Institute will open on March 1st. This summer, SMI is offering two separate camps in June for incoming 5th and 6th grade students, one being for girls only to promote women in STEAM careers. At the week-long day camps, students will learn about the connections between STEAM concepts and in-demand manufacturing careers. Campers will complete hands-on projects, meet industry experts, tour local manufacturing facilities, meet company CEOs, and much more! Heroes Helping Those with Special Needs & North Mentor Centenary UMC, 9290 Lakeshore Blvd, present "Special Needs Easter Event" on Saturday, April 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. OR 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This event is free and open to all ages, all disabilities, and/or special needs. Lake Metroparks Special Sensory Programs (NEW)
Lake Metroparks adapted programming provides high-quality recreational activities designed to meet the needs and interests of individuals with disabilities in specialized environments. Our programs are intended to develop leisure skills and enhance socialization. These new "sensory sensitive" programs will focus on our community of younger special needs children ages preschool to 5th grade.
