Mentor HS Wrestling - Pin for a Purpose Fundraiser
The Mentor High School Wrestling teams are hosting their 3rd Pin for a Purpose Night in the MHS Fine Arts Center on December 20th beginning at 5:00 p.m. The event raises funds for members of the community and beyond who are in need of financial assistance brought on by circumstances beyond their control. Our Pin for a Purpose Night turns over 100% of the funds raised that evening to community members and/or charitable organizations as a way of showing our support. Entry to the event is cash only and costs $5.00. In return, you will receive a Pin for a Purpose wrist band. There will also be shirts and a bake sale (cash only). The Girls Wrestling team will take on Normandy at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Boys Wrestling team taking on Trinity at 6:00 p.m. Please join us for a night of wrestling and fundraising as we assist those who need some extra support and love!

Mentor Schools-Bus Safety Procedures
As a reminder to our students, please adhere to the following bus safety procedures for safe street crossing in front of the bus:
- Tell the driver you need to cross. When students cross in front of the bus, the 8-way warning lights and STOP arm will be activated. Note: If you are unsure about where to cross the street, ask the driver to explain.
- After exiting the bus, move directly to the sidewalk and out of the DANGER ZONE.
- Move forward of the bus to a spot about ten feet ahead of the front bumper.
- Turn back to look at the bus driver and make eye contact.
- When the driver gives the signal, cross the street while checking continuously for oncoming vehicles.
- Upon reaching the far edge of the bus, take a look back to the rear of the bus to be sure no vehicles are passing the bus and running through the stop arm.
- After reaching the opposite side of the street, move onto the sidewalk and proceed directly home.
