Reflections

National PTA Reflections is America’s oldest and largest arts education program of its kind. The program was developed in 1969 by Colorado’s PTA President Mary Lou Anderson to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Since then, the Reflections Program has inspired millions of students to reflect on a specific theme and create original artwork.

Mentor High School has been a long time participant in the PTA Reflections Program. We have honored several winners in the past, many at the state level and even at the National level. The cooperation of all the departments in the school make this program a huge success. From art to writing and everything in between, our students create amazing and masterful works. Visual art students have captured national attention for many years. Our videography students have garnered awards for their short video clips. Our music students have even written and played and entire symphony! Photography and dance have also inspired many more students to take on the challenge of creating their own personal statement according to the theme chosen for the year. Entries are judged at the high school, county, state and nation levels.

We are proud of all the accomplishments these students make. We thank you all for just trying.

You are all winners.

2023-24 Reflections theme is "I am Hopeful Because..."
